Gaming computers:
When it comes to playing your favorite games, you need the right equipment for which to play your games, but what systems are ideal?
You could buy the newest machine, but it would be obsolete before you opened the box. These specifications will change over time, but as of right now, what you want is a machine with at least 4 Gigs of RAM, a 500 Gigabyte Hard Drive, a 256 MB Video card and a processor speed of at least 2 Ghz, preferably with Quad-Core, if you can get it. Most computers nowadays come with a 17" or a 19" monitor. Getting a bigger one is merely an aesthetic choice -- it may look good, but it's not mandatory.
What does all this mean? More memory allows more programs to be run or bigger programs to be run. Even with something as graphic intense as Guitar Hero, a high amount of memory will allow you to play the games smoothly. A large hard drive helps store more of your favorite games...
A video card with at least 256MB of memory, and possibly 1 GB is a necessity in this day and age. Graphic cards allow the beauty of the artwork and design of the game itself. A 3D video card helps show all the beauty of the game itself.
The processor allows all this stuff
and play Online Games to run on a continuous basis. This is where a really fast processor and one with more cores can make all the difference in the world. The entire thing is based on the CPU, and this is where faster = better.
